Midlothian unemployment falls

Midlothian MP David Hamilton has welcomed the latest unemployment figures for the county, which show a fall of seven per cent in the number of people claiming Job Seekers Allowance.

They show that 141 fewer people received JSA in May 2013 than had been doing so in April.

The unemployment rate for Midlothian has fallen from 4.8 to 4.4 per cent.
