IT’S all gone quiet on Midlothian Council’s transport policy.

After swapping its official limo for an electric car, the Nissan Leaf, the local authority is adding an electric van to its green fleet.

The council also has a hybrid van that runs on diesel and stored battery power and an energy-efficient car for staff use.
