Milton Bridge housing rejected

A WOODLAND haunt of the young Robert Louis Stevenson is being protected from building development.

Midlothian Council’s Local Review Body refused an appeal for two houses to the west of Kirklands at Loganbank, Milton Bridge.

Councillors rejected a review application by Roger Cosens, of Loganbank House, due to the proposed development being located on Green Belt land.

Additional housing would lead to loss or damage of woodland and trees within and surrounding the site, have a detrimental impact on the landscape character of the area and damage local biodiversity.
