Money for a healthier future

The Edinburgh and Lothians Health Foundation is making available funding worth £1.8 million to create “a healthier future for the people of Scotland.”

Foundation trustees aim to attract applications to fund innovative proposals that seek to improve people’s health.

The Grants Programme was launched on November 23 and the closing date for funding applications is January 31.

Linda Ferrier, Senior Charge Nurse at Midlothian Community Hospital, said: “Patients, visitors and staff enjoyed the music very much. The best response was from a gentleman who sang along with the band, who previously had not shown any interest for years.”
