A second phase of temporary traffic management is required at the Mauricewood Road junction with the A702 from tomorrow (Tuesday, April 19) ahead of planned housing development in the Penicuik area.
The developer is planning to build a roundabout to serve the new housing development. Before the roundabout can be installed and to help facilitate the development, Scottish Water is required to carry out some work to divert water pipes.
While much of the work will take place away from the road, it is necessary to carry out some work at the junction of the A702 with Mauricewood Road.
This second stage of traffic management, which should run for a week, will involve three way traffic lights which will be in operation throughout the duration of the project to allow for a new pipe to be laid across the road.
Scottish Water will endeavour to carry out this work in order to facilitate this development as quickly as possible.
Scottish Water is grateful to customers and motorists for their patience and understanding during this work which is required to facilitate planned development in the area.
