A MIDLOTHIAN MSP has hit out at Westminster budget cuts affecting crucial road improvements.
Colin Beattie MSP raised the question of grade separation at the Sheriffhall roundabout during general question time in the Scottish Parliament last week.
The member for Midlothian North and Musselburgh was informed that a timetable had been set in the context of affordability.
However, a recent 30 per cent cut by Westminster is being blamed for causing the delay to such projects.
Mr Beattie said: “The Sheriffhall roundabout is not only a congestion nightmare for my constituents, but also for anyone travelling to and from my constituency.”
