James Arthur - Impossible

He’s already proven nothing is “impossible” on this year’s X Factor, and Middlesbrough lad James Arthur’s success looks set to continue with his debut single already number 1 in the iTunes chart. The 24-year-old’s cover of Shontelle’s song starts off pensive before reaching its rousing climax. Stunning.

The Justice Collective - He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother

Giving the X Factor a run for the Christmas number 1 is the charity single by the Justice Collective, which includes Sir Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams and Rebecca Ferguson. Proceeds are going towards the Hillsborough families’ legal costs.

£1 Fish Man - One Pound Fish

There’s always a novelty song vying for the festive No 1 and £1 Fish Man definitely is up there. It’s already been covered by Timbaland and Alesha Dixon, and the London’s East End trader Muhammad Shahid Nazir could well become the Christmas version of PSY’s Gangnam Style.
