The latest live album by Counting Crows sees the Californian alt-rock outfit on top form throughout.

Recorded on their extensive North American tour last year, it features their much-vaunted Byrds and The Band-influenced sound expertly reproduced by lead vocalist and pianist Adam Duritz, joined by his six-piece band: guitarist David Bryson, accordion player Charlie Gillingham, lead guitarist Dan Vickrey, banjo and mandolin player David Immergluck, bassist Millard Powers and drummer Jim Bogios.

There may not be anything too revelatory here from the established act, but Echoes Of The Outlaw Roadshow is an enjoyable overview of their 20-year career.

Best of the bunch is Girl From The North Country, with Untitled (Love Song) and Rain King also highlights.
