A new joint partnership will see Midlothian Council and NHS Lothian join forces to deliver health and social care services.
This spring, a plan is due to be finalised which will lay out how the council and NHS Lothian will work together and which services will fall within the partnership.
Councillor Catherine Johnstone (SNP), cabinet member for health and social care, said: “The partnership will promote stronger interagency working and sharing of joint resources. There will also be strong engagement with people who use services, family carers and the voluntary sector.”
