Midlothian residents are being invited to make their views known on the issues facing local communities.

The Community Planning Partnership is drawing up its plans for the period April 2014 to March 2015 and is keen to hear your opinions on the council, police, NHS and other organisations’ work in the county.

Some of the plan’s priorities are econonic growth and business support.

Partnership chairman Councillor Owen Thompson (SNP) said: “We want to ensure that our communities are in agreement with the direction we’re taking to make things better.

“So we’ve summarised our plans and are asking for people to give their own rating on the priorities we’ve identified, essentially as a double-check to ensure we’re on the right track.”

To take part, go to www.midlothian.gov.uk/singleplan or visit the council’s libraries, leisure centres or offices to pick up a paper copy. The closing date is Monday, August 12.
