Oxenfoord Castle, the stately home near Pathhead, will be the venue for the 2015 Midlothian Food and Drink Awards.

The ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 4.

Rebuilt in 1782, the castle now specialises in hosting weddings and corporate events.

Voting has now opened to find the county’s best restaurants and hostelries. The closing date for nominations is Friday, April 24.

Categories include best place for a coffee, best place for customer service, best place for a pint, best place for lunch, best outside caterer, best local food or drink producer, best place for dinner and best place for a takeaway.

The annual awards, which recognise excellence amongst local food producers and caterers, is run by Midlothian Tourism Forum and Midlothian Council.

This year voting is being done online. Go to www.visitmidlothian.org.uk and follow the links.
