TWENTY-ONE crimes in Newtongrange were reported to police in March, according to official figures.
Seven of those have been solved.
PC Blair Watson told Newtongrange Community Council that there had been nine dishonesties, four vandalisms, four assaults, three antisocial behaviour offences and one crime involving the misuse of drugs.
At the time of the community council meeting, police had logged 132 calls from the public.
