‘Nightmare’ of Dalkeith family hit by triple whammy

A Dalkeith mum, who suffered a brain haemorrhage en-route to visiting her critically ill baby in hospital, has told of the family’s latest blow.

Lisa Pryde (25) and partner Chris Dickson (23) say they are being punished for rent arrears accrued while she was in a coma.

Currently living in a one-bedroom flat in Woodburn Road with their two sons, they say “red tape and bureaucracy” is stopping them from moving up Midlothian Council’s housing waiting list.

Lisa Pryde’s nightmare began on February 18, 2010, when her second child Rhys was delivered four months premature at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, weighing just 1lb 8oz.
