Novel exhibition in Newtongrange

A new exhibition, entitled Facing the Past: Telling Scotland’s Story, has opened at Scotland’s National Mining Museum in Newtongrange.

Telling Scotland’s Story was published this year by the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.

It introduces the ScARF (Scottish Archaeological Research Framework) project and features a series of surprising and unusual stories about Scotland uncovered by the latest research.

It is presented in the style of a graphic novel, illustrated by the Scottish comic artist Sha Nazir, of Black Hearted Press, and written by James Crawford.

The free exhibition runs until October 19.
