Mr Campbell, who died at home on March 22, worked for Bilston Glen Colliery and then as a road sweeper for Midlothian Council – mainly based in Dalkeith town centre – until his retirement.
A keen musician, he was treasurer of Dalkeith and Monktonhall Brass Band up until his death.
He is survived by his wife Helen, daughters Fiona and Emma, son-in-laws Richard and Glenn and grandchild Draiden.
