On the march in Woodburn

Angry Woodburn residents have gone on the march to protest over the loss of community facilities.

The battle to save the former Thornybank Nursery building for community use reached boiling point on Tuesday, with placard-waving protesters marching from Dalkeith Community Centre to Midlothian Council’s headquarters.

The march, led by a piper, consisted of protesters carrying tambourines and horns – cheering loudly when passing cars beeped their horns.
