A FINAL decision is due to be taken soon on a long-running battle for double yellow lines on a busy Gorebridge street.
Plans for double yellow lines to address speeding and a lack of visibility on New Hunterfield were reviewed following objections last year.
Representations were made to Gorebridge Community Council by residents both arguing for and against strict parking restrictions on the residential street and roads officers have been working towards a compromise.
But the delay has led to criticism from residents who want swift action to prevent an accident on the main road.
