This week’s featured cat is Henry, who was originally a stray in the Portobello area.
Henry was brought to the Lothian Cat Rescue after someone took pity on him and began feeding him.
This lovely silver-grey and white tabby chap is around five years old, and is described by staff at the shelter as “bombproof”.
Henry is a very friendly and affectionate lad who gets on well with everyone – children, adults and other cats.
He would love to find a “fur-ever” home of his own, preferably one with a garden, as he does like to get outdoors from time to time.
Could Henry become the “purr-fect” feline friend for you and your family? Contact Lothian Cat Rescue for more information – details below.
Of course, Henry is just one of the many cats currently being cared for at the LCR shelter – and every one of them is seeking a loving home of their own.
You can see some of the cats currently needing homes on the Lothian Cat Rescue website – www.lothiancatrescue.org
LCR is also on Facebook – you can become a friend of their page by simply logging on to Facebook and searching for Lothian Cat Rescue.
Of course, funds are always needed to help take care of the cats, and LCR’s next fundraising event is their open day on Sunday, July 29, from 2pm to 4pm. Attractions will include a tombola, bric-a-brac, home baking, books, plants and clothes stalls and refreshments will be available.
The draw will also take place for the charity’s annual raffle, and of course, you can also meet some of the current residents looking for new homes! Make a date in your diary!
