Paws for Thought

This week’s featured cat is Calvin - a slightly timid, tabby and white-coloured male who was found living as a stray in the Mayfield area.

Calvin has been at the cat shelter for around three months. During this time he has won over staff with his loving personality. This marvellous moggy needs reassurance from a loving new owner, preferably in a home with a garden, and perhaps with quiet older children. The two-year-old feline has also been deemed suitable for a home with other animals.

Lothan Cat Rescue’s Jacquie said: “He is very loving when he gets to know you. He is a bit timid at first but if you are confident with him then his confidence builds. He is going to be a lovely boy and will make a great pet for omeone. He is very affectionate towards humans, despite being a bit nervous. He had probably been out there a long time when we found him.”

Could you find a place in your heart and your home for Calvin? If you are interested in him, or any of the other cats at the shelter, please contact 01875 821025 for more information and to check that they are still available.

There are usually up to 60 cats in the shelter, so why not drop-in for a visit - they may have just the very cat or cats for you and your family?
