Penicuik club tackles appeal

PENICUIK Rugby Club has been supporting the local appeal to get behind the troops in Afghanistan.

Members of the community have been collecting toiletries and foodstuffs to be shipped out to the soldiers with the Royal Highland Fusiliers, the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

2SCOTS, based at Glencorse Barracks, were recently deployed on a six-month tour of Afghanistan and local taxi firm owner Dougie Stewart started a campaign to send donations through Parcels4Troops.
