PENICUIK comes alive this weekend for its annual summer street fair.
Entertainers, dancers and Penicuik Silver Band will perform in the John Street precinct between 10am and 2pm on Saturday.
Stalls by local organisations, a children’s carousel, a Punch and Judy show and many more features are promised by Penicuik and District Community Council, which is organising the event.
The official opening will be performed by Derek Wilson, Penicuik’s Citizen of the Year for 2012, with community councillor Mose Hutchison providing the compering duties.
Refreshments by ChildLine will be available in the Town Hall’s lesser hall.
Clubs or organisations can book a table for £10, and this also guarantees a free space at the Christmas Fair in the Town Hall. There is a prize for the best stall.
