It’s a time to celebrate in Penicuik as the town gears up for its annual Hunter and Lass festival – a week of fun, games and tradition.

The events start on Saturday with the family bike ride from Beeslack Community High School at 11.30am. The final of Penicuik’s Got Talent will be held in the town hall at 6pm.

The focus will move from pedal power to horse power on Sunday with the custom and classic motor show. Vehicles will assemble at AF Noble’s Subaru service centre car park at 11.30am.

The Hunter and Lass party will then attend Penicuik Tennis Club’s tournament at Kirkhill at 1pm.

The traditional school and nursery visits take place on Monday, May 25, and Tuesday, May 26.

On Monday, the ladies’ football competition kicks off in the public park at 7pm.

The first of the rideouts takes place on Tuesday with the midweek event leaving Storezone’s yard, Eastfield Drive, at 6.30pm. It will return to the town centre at approximately 8.30pm.
