GLOBAL issues were debated by young people during a recent conference at a Midlothian school.
Penicuik High School hosted its second annual Model United Nations, involving more than 200 pupils.
Fifteen schools took part, including Gordonstoun in Moray, Robert Gordon’s in Aberdeen and Dalkeith High School.
It was organised and run by the pupils, who spent many weeks planning and picking interesting topics for the discussions.
Model United Nations gives pupils a chance to develop many life skills, include public speaking and knowledge of world issues.
