Penicuik school heroes to battle bullies

Pupils at a Penicuik primary school have created a superhero to help them learn about bullying and how to respect others.

Strathesk Primary children have the support of Purple Man, who wears a Cape of Kindness.

The school has developed the HERO - ‘Help Everyone Respect Others’ - as it works towards a national BIG award.

Adam (P7) explained a bring an adult to school day had been held to show what pupils had already learned.

Head teacher Sharon Smith said: “We want to show that bullying won’t be tolerated and we need to ensure children have the shills required to seek help and support.”
