FORMER pupils got in the swing to mark the start of Penicuik High School’s 75th anniversary celebrations.
The school threw its doors open to musicians and pupils, past and present, to take part in a special concert.
Musical ensembles from the school’s string orchestra to its rock band played music from 1937, the year the school opened, as well as songs from the intervening decades.
Recruiting the musicians to fill ensembles was no mean feat, but was handled deftly by the head of music, Keith Murphy.
