A PAIR of Husky-type dogs have been terrorising a Midlothian community, it is claimed.

People in Penicuik claim that the grey-and-white coloured dogs are responsible for a number of attacks on other dogs.

Lucille Bishop (50) and her boyfriend Paul Gray (39) were walking home from Edinburgh Road on Monday when their nine-year-old Labrador Calley, was attacked near the entrance to Pentland House.

The arthritic dog suffered a nasty gash and puncture wound above her shoulder and was taken to a local vets for treatment.

Dykes Road resident Lucille, who was in tears as she spoke to the Advertiser last week, said: “We saw two men with a pair of huskies standing on the other side of a gate. One of the dogs pounced on Calley and grabbed her by the neck.

“The attack probably only lasted a few seconds, but it felt like forever. I was screaming for help and shouting at the owner to come and get his dog off.”
