Husband and wife folk duo Stephen and Pernille Quigg will take to the stage to perform at Penicuik Folk Club next month.
The couple take to the stage at The Roadhouse Pub, 136 John Street, Penicuik, on Tuesday, May 6 at 8pm.
Stephen is well known through his work with the McCalmans, Nick Keir and as a solo artist in his own right.
He will be sharing the spotlight in Penicuik with his wife Pernille, also a highly regarded folk singer.
A spokesman for Penicuik Folk Club said: “We are delighted to snaffle them at an early stage in their career performing together.
“Expect a hugely entertaining evening of Stephen’s customary splendid voice, his usual amusing nonsense and now the added joy of Pernille’s singing and playing.”
Stephen, a former member of the legendary McCalmans, has been a folk performer for 35 years.
He has toured the length and breadth of Britain and extensively across Europe. As well as singing, Stephen plays guitar, banjo and bodhran.
Originally from Denmark, Pernille has lived on the west coast of Scotland for the past seven years.
A singer and guitarist, she recently released her first solo album, “Driftwood”.
Tickets for the Quiggs’ concert will be on sale at the door.
The folk club hosts free song/tune sessions on other Tuesday evenings from 8.30pm in the Roadhouse lounge bar. It’s a friendly relaxed sing-around welcoming all styles of music.
