Please don’t let Penicuik school go to waste

Angry Penicuik parents are stepping up their campaign to stop Midlothian Council building a waste recycling centre beside a primary school.

They are upset over proposals to put the facility next to Strathesk Primary, arguing that it could be detrimental to the health and safety of the school community.

Headteacher Elizabeth Barton, the Parent Partnership and the school’s Pupil Council and Eco-Committee have raised objections to the project.
