More than 69,600 Midlothian people have registered to vote in the Scottish independence referendum tomorrow (Thursday).
This includes 13,668 people who have applied for a postal vote and 1,747 16 and 17-year-olds.
A total of 4,285,323 people in Scotland have registered to vote in the referendum, making it the largest electorate ever in Scotland for an election or referendum.
At the 2014 European Elections, 65,625 were registered to vote in Midlothian.The increase in the electorate for this vote reflects the scale of interest in the referendum as well as the inclusion of young people eligible to vote.
