PARENTS and carers are being asked for their views on childcare and pre-school education in Midlothian.
Midlothian Council is conducting a survey to examine the quality and availability of current provisions.
The local authority has a legal duty to ensure sufficient childcare is available to meet the needs of parents and carers or those returning to work or training.
The survey is being distributed through nursery, primary one, three or seven schoolbags and is also available online at www.midlothian.gov.uk/pre-school-survey
The survey runs until Friday, May 13.
