A Penicuik woman will take her prize-winning dog on a 25-mile walk in Edinburgh this weekend to raise money for charity.
Business manager Lisa Moir (32) will take her five-year-old German Spitz ‘Mayhem’ on the Pedigree Paws Unite walk, raising money for seven animal and children’s charities.
She said: “My dog is well named as she’s a handful. She was the top German Spitz in the UK for 2015 and was selected as the breed representative wanted all the recognised breeds taking part. There has never been an event like this before. It’s going to be a bit of a challenge as she is coming off maternity leave – she had a litter of pups 12 months ago. I’m looking forward to raising money for these worthwhile charities.”
