The proposed closure of a Loanhead podiatry clinic has sparked an outcry from service users.

Based at George Terrace, the twice-weekly facility has been serving the needs of those who suffer from disorders of the feet, ankles, and lower leg for more than 17 years.

Should NHS Lothian press ahead with its plans to re-provide services, patients, many of whom are elderly and immobile, would have to make their way to either Penicuik or Bonnyrigg.
