A reward is being offered to help reunite a Midlothian bird handler with her rare feathered friend – and budding actor – Norris.
As reported in the Advertiser, the African Pied Crow vanished from the post where he was tethered outside the Dalhousie Castle Hotel at around 11.30am on December 4. Believed to be one of only three of its kind in Scotland, he belongs to Dalhousie Falconry.
Owner Kylie Mcseveney (25) said: “We think someone has come and taken him. When Norris gets frightened, he will just stand in one place, so the chances of him flying off miles away are unlikely.
“The hawks would have got to him if he had flown off.”
Norris has special dietary requirements and will not survive for long as other birds will attack him. Earlier this year, he shared screentime with Blenda Blethyn in the detective series Vera.
