The sun shone in Penicuik on Saturday for a record number of 256 runners to take part in the 33rd Penicuik 10km Road Race.
The race incorporated the East 10K Championships with Jamie Crowe of Central AC the East champion after a close race with Bryan Mackie of Edinburgh AC 2nd and Gavin Bryson also Edinburgh AC 3rd. Edinburgh AC won the team race.
Jennifer Wetton of Central AC was Women’s champion with Rachel Dunn of
Edinburgh AC 2nd , Jennifer Forbes in 3rd place led Gala Harriers to the Women’s team prize.
The local prizes were won by Des Crowe(Penicuik Harriers) and Georgia Cottle (EUH&H)
The race is renowned for the beautiful route, support of the marshals and a fantastic post-race spread that this year raised money for Broomhill Day Centre and Breast Cancer Care.
