DANDERHALL: Musselburgh District Council have reported that they have been in touch with the County Architect regarding the provision of plans for a new Community Centre at Danderhall and he has agreed to prepare a plan.

1988

POLTONHALL: A Poltonhall pensioner has thanked two strangers who rushed to her aid when she collapsed recently outside Bonnyrigg Post Office. Elizabeth Whitehead (69), who suffers from severe angina, contacted the Advertiser last week in a bid to track down the mystery women who she had not seen since her ordeal on December 2.

1998

ROSEWELL: Father Christmas may not return to Rosewell next year after he was pelted with stones by half a dozen teenagers last week. Santa’s sleigh was ambushed and the van pulling the sleigh was damaged by youths throwing missiles.
