1964

BONNYRIGG: After a long delay, Bonnyrigg and Lasswade Twinning Committee have received a letter from the Mayor of French town Saint-Cyr-l’Ecole, stating that the town would be delighted to twin with Bonnyrigg and Lasswade. Saint-Cyr-l’Ecole is 18 miles from Paris and close to Versailles.

1989

FALA: Additional signs and road markings are to be provided at a notorious accident blackspot near Fala.

1999

BONNYRIGG: A record breaking lamb has been born at Upper Dalhousie Farm, the biggest Suffolk lamb born in the British Isle. The lamb weighed 12kg (27lbs) at birth compared to the normal 14 or 15lbs.
