A Loanhead-based removal company has done some flitting of its own – by relocating to bigger premises in Penicuik.

Bishop’s Move, the largest family-owned storage and removal firm in the UK, has agreed a ten-year lease on storage and office space at Eastfield Industrial Estate, Penicuik. The firm has relocated its 22 staff from its base at Pentland Industrial Estate.

Bishop’s Move’s new facility at Eastfield forms a major part of the fully re-developed former Edinburgh Crystal warehouse which lay dormant for nearly seven years, before being converted into office/warehouse space.

This latest conversion by owners, Midlothian-based Alex F Noble & Son, constitutes phase three of the expansion of the estate. Employee numbers across the 14 units let to date stands in excess of 125.

David Mills, Bishop’s Move’s general manager in Scotland, said: “Having quickly outgrown our former premises, our new home at Eastfield ticks all the boxes for us through an attractive combination of immediate and flexible accommodation coupled with favorable lease terms.”
