Several housebreakings in Midlothian

Police in Midlothian are appealing for witnesses following several housebreakings reported overnight between Monday and Tuesday (August 15/16).

The first incident involved a break-in to a shed in Seaforth Terrace, Bonnyrigg where golf clubs were stolen.

The second incident involved a break-in to a shed in Chesters View, Bonnyrigg where property, including two mountain bikes were stolen.

Anyone with information relating to any of these offences is asked to contact police immediately.

Sergeant Michele Lindsay from Penicuik Police Station said: “Our enquiries into these offences are ongoing as part of Operation RAC.

“I would urge anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious behaviour in these areas to please come forward. Thieves are opportunistic by their very nature and I would remind people to remain vigilant, to always ensure that your property is properly secured and to report any suspicious activity.
