A national watchdog organisation has ruled that a Midlothian care service for disabled people is ‘weak’ across all areas.
Based at Shawfair Business Park, Care UK Ltd is registered to provide a housing support and care at home service to adults with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities.
The Care Inspectorate gives quality grades from 1 (unsatisfactory) to 6 (excellent) based on their inspections against the quality themes of ‘support and care’, ‘staffing’ and ‘management and leadership’.
Following a ‘low intensity’ inspection on January 19, the Care Inspectorate awarded the second lowest grade (weak) to each of the three themes at Care UK.
