Taking place this Saturday, Edgehead Village Day promises to include a host of fun activities for all the family.

Proceedings are scheduled to begin on Main Street at 1.45pm, with a children’s fancy dress parade. Led by St David’s Brass Band, a colourful procession will make its way to the public park, where judging of the fancy dress will take place at 2pm. Afternoon attractions in the park will include: a bring-and-buy plant stall; craft demonstrations and a tombola. There will also be plenty of refreshments including tea, coffee, wine, water, steak rolls, cakes and crepes.

For children, various sports and games should prove popular as will pony rides and an ‘inflatable assault course bouncy castle’.

Meanwhile, Mullach Ladhar Bheinn, Hebridean sheep and champion of breed at the Royal Highland Show 2011 is to have a starring role at Edgehead Village Day.
