Local parents and children came together recently for fun activities at the annual ‘Play in the Park’ events.

A range of play activities were on offer for parents and children in Mayfield and Gorebridge parks.

And the council received a welcome boost this year with food and funding donated by Scotmid Hunterfield. The supermarket presented Councillor Lisa Beattie (SNP) with a cheque for £800 – with £500 of that being made available from the sale of their plastic bags, the rest from Scotmid vouchers. The play events took place between July 19 and 31.
