Students at Edinburgh Napier University became teachers once a week to help Midlothian pupils create a photography exhibition.
Five students from the BA photography programme visited St David’s RC High School in Dalkeith to pass on their technical skills and expertise to third years.
The 12-week collaboration led to the creation of the Eight Pillars of Resilience, a series of stills produced by the pupils which reflect optimism, empathy, bravery, sense of humour, capacity to reflect, problem solving, good communication skills and the ability to control your own destiny. Resilience was thought to be an ideal theme because it is regarded as a school priority at St David’s.
