DadZone, which meets at Mayfield Parish Church every Wednesday morning, was set up in direct response to an expressed need for support by local dads.
Following a succesful pilot, the Christian-based network is rolling its service out to the wider community.
Co-founder Andy Chapman, who is experienced in providing pastoral care and counselling, explained: “We believe fatherhood is fundamentally important to the development and well-being of our children.
“Our aim is to support men in their important role as dads, helping to promote their physical, mental and emotional health.
“We believe that fatherhood is also fundamental to the well-being of the family and the family in turn is fundamental to the well-being of society.
