Talks on homes bid

A NEIGHBOURHOOD centre could be added to service a major housing development in Penicuik.

Taylor Wimpey East Scotland is considering the submission of plans for retail units and community facilities at Greenlaw Mains.

Following talks with Midlothian Council, the building firm could create a small-scale, dedicated neighbourhood centre to co-exist with its project at Mauricewood Road.

In February, the company submitted plans for 438 houses and 81 flats at Greenlaw Mains, an application currently being assessed by council planners.
