Technology firm appoints new chair

Midlothian-based electric car technology developer Dukosi has appointed a new chairman.

Based at the Edinburgh Technopole, Dukosi is developing innovative battery technology which can be used in a variety of energy environments.

The use of rechargeable batteries is set to grow significantly over many industry sectors, for example, in electric and hybrid vehicles, where demand is predicted to rise from 2.7million vehicles in 2014 to 6.4m by 2023.

Clive Scrivener has a track record in high growth, international businesses. Most recently he was chief executive of Prodrive, an international company specialising in developing automotive technologies, design and build of vehicles and systems, motorsport and carbon composites.

Mr Scrivener said: “I am delighted to join the Dukosi team at such an exciting time in the development of our technology. Dukosi is ideally placed to deliver our customers a disruptive technology solution that will make a significant positive contribution to their product development goals.”
