Baggage - Channel 4, 8pm

Apparently, Gok Wan isn’t content with conquering the nation’s fashion needs, or even teaching us a thing or two about Chinese cooking. He fancies having a good go at sorting out our love lives too. But is he just as confident with Cupid’s bow and arrow as he is with a Louboutin six-inch heel? We don’t have long to wait to find out, as he introduces Baggage – a brand new dating show with a difference (of course it wouldn’t be your run-of-the-mill dating show with Mr Wan at the helm). His unlucky-in-love contestants face the task of choosing and rejecting potential love interests based on their emotional baggage.

Look Out For: Some weird and wonderful admissions from the poor souls who are outing themselves in the hope of finding love. There’s a romantic holiday in it for the winning couple, but of course the rest of the hopefuls will head home with only their baggage for company.

Chris Weller, of Chocolate Media television production company, says: “It’s about being attracted to the person and accepting their baggage. Be it an opinion, a habit or a belief – they’re deal breakers, basically.”
