Work on Loanhead’s new relief road, which will divert heavy goods traffic away from residential streets, could be completed by Christmas.
Loanhead and District Community Council welcomed the progress report at its meeting last week.
Simon Dormer, representing Straiton Park Limited, said: “In terms of the relief road, work started a month to six weeks ago. That is going to plan, fingers crossed, and the majority of works will be completed before Christmas.
“We are hopeful the road will be delivered before Christmas and there is a chance it may be open before Christmas.”
