A PENSIONER is calling for traffic calming measures after being knocked down by a cyclist outside his Newtongrange home.
He said: “There’s no speed ramps and I asked the council for speed ramps last year. They said they wouldn’t put them in because there’s been no fatalities.
“There’s a very bad bend there and you can’t see round it.”
He has renewed his calls after suffering minor injuries following a collision with a bicycle outside his home on Friday, February 4.
