Two new schools to be built in Midlothian

Plans are underway to build two new primary schools in Midlothian.

A primary school is scheduled to be built at Gorebridge North and will cost around £6.26 million. Work may begin in 2014.

A second primary school is planned for Bilston at a cost of £6.46 million.

Midlothian Council is also looking into how it can meet the education needs of both current and future pupils in Rosewell Primary School.
