A PENICUIK youngster has been given her big acting break on an Edinburgh stage.

Vaila Gentile-Watt, a P3 pupil at Cuiken Primary School, performed in A Doll’s House at the Royal Lyceum Theatre.

The seven-year-old from Valleyfield played Emmy, the daughter of a politician, in Henrik Ibsen’s famous drama.

Vaila, who attends a performing arts group at Currie High School, won the part after auditioning with around 40 girls.
